The STIHL FS40 is a lightweight grass strimmer that’s easy starting and comfortable to use. Its powered by a 2-stroke 27.2cc engine with a power output of 1 hp / 0.7 kW.
Its ideal for trimming or edging small areas of grass and is super easy to manoeuvre around obstacles. The bent shaft makes edging easy and precise, the Autocut C6-2 strimmer head has a bump-feed design, simply tap it on the ground whilst the engine is running and new line will appear.
The FS 40 has a small fuel pump that delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. The simplified starting system couldn’t be easier. Simply set the choke, pump the fuel primer, pull the starter cord and away it goes. The machine can be switched off after a brief press of the stop button. Once the machine is at a standstill, the ignition activates again automatically. Thus the ignition is always ready for starting.
It also has an easy, comfortable thumb-operated control that means the users hand never has to leave the handle.
The Autocut C6-2 head can handle line from 2mm to 2.4mm in thickness. As well as the Autocut head, the FS 40 can also be fitted with a PolyCut 6-2 mowing head; this mowing head has 3 movable plastic blades that is best suited to medium-height grass.
The STIHL FS 40 comes with a 2 year manufacturers warranty (domestic use only)
