The STIHL FS 240 C-E is a powerful petrol brushcutter that’s perfect for landscape maintenance. It is powered by a STIHL 37.7cc 2-stroke engine and has a power output of 2.3hp.
It features STIHL ErgoStart which cuts the effort required to start the tool by half, it works with a coil spring between the starter cord and the crankshaft, the rope can be pulled at just one third of the normal force. Additionally, a small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operations.
The FS240C-E takes advantage of the STIHL Anti-Vibration system, when working for long periods of time intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to long-term effects on blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHLs Anti-Vibration system dampens the oscillations from the machines engine which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.
Controlling the FS 240 C-E couldn’t be easier thanks to the easy, comfortable thumb-operated control on the bike handle. The bike handle allows the machine to be easily guided, in a side-to-side swaying action, making it ideal for working on large areas and thus reducing fatigue. Additionally, the central wing nut on the handles enables easy adjustment without the use of tools. For transportation and space-saving storage, the handle can be rotated by 90°. The FS 240 also benefits from ECOSPEED, this enables the user to control the engine speed on the operating handle via a rolling dial.
Additional features such as the winter setting slide control allows you to switch the setting from winter to summer using the slide control. Using the winter setting will prevent the air filter and carburettor from freezing and the large transparent fuel tank with a volume of 0.75 l ensures long working intervals with fewer fuel stops.
This petrol brushcutter is supplied as standard with an AutoCut 25-2 mowing head and GrassCut 230-4 metal blade, UNIVERSAL harness and blade changing kit included.
