Fuel Guidance for Your Garden Machinery – Using E5 (Super Unleaded) Instead of E10
✅ What is E5 Petrol?
E5 petrol is a type of unleaded fuel containing up to 5% ethanol. It is suitable for most petrol engines, including those used in garden machinery such as lawn mowers and two-stroke tools.
⚙️ Fuel Compatibility
Lawn Mowers & 2-Stroke Engines: Most machines made after 2002 are suitable for E5 fuel. Older models may not be ethanol-safe.
Always check your user manual to confirm the correct fuel type.
🛠 Using E5 Fuel – Best Practices
Refuelling: Use a funnel with gauze to prevent debris entering the tank.
Fill slowly to avoid overflows.
Storage: Keep petrol in a cool, dry place.
Use a fuel stabilizer if storing for more than 30 days.
For 2-Stroke Engines: Use the correct petrol-to-oil mix (check your manual for the ratio).
Before Each Use: Check stored fuel for cloudiness, separation, or off smells. Replace if unsure.
